A short post….

I have just returned home from taking my 8 year old daughter to our local church.  She is a Brownie and her pack were invited to attend this morning’s Remembrance Day service.

Not being a regular church goer, I was amazed at the number of people at the War Memorial, in particular the number of children with their Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scout packs.  They all observed the 2 minute silence impeccably and listened whilst the Last Post was played by one of the Young Leaders.

How proud I felt that so many children, and parents, were there to support such an important occasion.  Lest we forget.
